IN PROGRESS
Our photo tour to the festival of colours uses Mathura as a base to give you a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Usually celebrated in March, Holi is celebrated in several distinctly different ways in the region, and the celebration lasts for almost a week. Thousands of visitors gather in various temples every day, creating some unique photo opportunities. Our itinerary includes the majestic Taj Mahal in Agra, where we will share some quirky local secrets before ensuring an excellent sunset view of this magnificent World Heritage site from across the Yamuna river. We also visit Varanasi, on the banks of the Ganges river, and we crown this tour with a short flight and a couple of days in Calcutta for more street Holi celebrations and some of the best street photography in India. This tour is very frantic and we prefer to include moderate and advanced photographers rather than novices as there’s less time available for tuition than on some of our other tours. Read more here.
