COVID -19 - travel considerations.

COVID-19 continues to affect international travel in some parts of the world, and although its effects have decreased significantly since 2022, some countries - and airlines - still impose restrictions that may affect your travel plans. This section of our website aims to provide you with relevant, up-to-date information to help you make informed decisions regarding our photography tours, including preparations before you travel. Nathan Horton Photography Tours will provide whatever guidance and assistance we can, but you will need to accept responsibility for your decisions, particularly regarding the timing of your flights should you need testing, to ensure sufficient time for testing and receipt of results.

BEFORE DEPARTURE (from your home country)
As of May 2024, none of the countries where we run tours currently requires proof that you are “fully vaccinated“, nor do any of them require you to take a PCR test as a condition of entry or departure. As these regulations are subject to change, however, we advise that you check carefully with the country’s immigration website and with your airline, or you may be refused entry.

DURING THE TOUR
Some of the countries where we run tours may impose conditions or restrictions during your visit. You may be required to wear a mask in certain circumstances, for example. While we can provide you with guidance and advice in these matters, it is your individual responsibility to comply with the laws and regulations of the tour country. We recommend that you bring your own hand sanitiser and keep it with you during the tour. We also advise that you bring at least one rapid testing kit with you, just in case you develop symptoms during the tour.

BEFORE DEPARTURE (from the tour country)
Your home country may require you to present evidence of a recent negative COVID-19 test upon your arrival, although this is much less common than it was just a few months ago. If you are transiting through a regional hub, you may be required to present such evidence upon arrival at the transit airport. In some cases, the airline itself may also require you to present such evidence. The rules are constantly changing so please check carefully before heading to the airport.

Be sure to check the specific requirements of each country and airline carefully in terms of both the timing and type of test allowed to avoid any delays or other inconveniences. We are happy to assist you with planning any required tests. If a test is needed, we strongly advise against booking your departure flight before lunchtime on the last day of the tour, to allow sufficient time to be tested and receive your results before you depart. In some cases where we have very tight timeframes, we might advise you to add an additional night at the end of the tour.

We hope you will find this helpful and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
